I would like to talk a little about posing to be photographed. You can pose thoughtfully and it may seem natural, as it really can feel very natural to pose for a photo. You may pose naturally for a photo and the photo may not have good visual appeal. You can also have a very technical photo, very well thought out and in our eyes it may not look natural, and it really doesn't need to look natural, it all depends on your intention.

I particularly like photographing people in their most natural and relaxed state possible, I am very close to the path of documentary photography. I direct, I position the person in the photo, but I also let the person participate and bring who they are and how they are feeling at the moment so that the photos have a more natural tone, but sometimes I have to intervene and ask that the person I'm photographing makes some movements to make the photo even more interesting.

Poses are a fundamental part of good photography and knowing how to use your hands, legs, eyes, etc. is essential to capturing a good photo. Knowing how to position your hands helps make photos more beautiful, more interesting and with a more refined appearance. It is important to pay attention to some details, such as how naturally the person being photographed poses their hands. Clean, well-cut nails are something to keep in mind. The tone of your makeup on your face can make your hands look out of sync with your face, so wearing makeup on your hands is also a good idea if you're wearing makeup on your face that's a very different tone than your hands. And try to relax your hands, as tense hands never look good in a photo.

Giving your hands something to do is something I really enjoy doing during my photo shoots. Placing one hand in your pocket, buttoning or unbuttoning a shirt, rubbing your hands together, playing with your hair, touching your face, crossing your arms, using your hands on your hips, holding your neck, putting your hands close to your face and wherever else you can. Your creativity allows you to use your hands. Remembering that it is very important to use your hands lightly, softly will give a more interesting result for your photos. Whenever I'm photographing a person I like to use my hands to help me take more beautiful photos, so look at photos that you think are beautiful and see how the hands are in these photos. In your next photo session, use your hands more and see the results, you will thank me for it.

I don't know if you've heard this, but in Brazil we use a phrase to talk about the expression in people's eyes and how in their eyes we perceive the feeling that the other wants to convey to us. The eye is the window to the soul. We can communicate through our gaze and for photography, our way of expressing our gaze is very important for an interesting photograph. I would venture to say that the eyes are the most important part of a portrait. The first point we look at when looking at a portrait are the eyes, so when it's our turn to be in front of a camera it's important to pay attention to how we're going to look at the camera, how we're going to pose for photos and take advantage this, since we now have the information that our look at a portrait is the point of greatest interest in the first contact.

But we also have to think about photographs with our eyes closed. Yes, this type of photography also generates feelings and emotions. Photography with your eyes closed has the power to explore the depth of the soul and transmit intriguing sensations to those who observe them. The absence in the gaze of the person being photographed disconnects the person from the outside world and allows the person to immerse themselves in their inner universe. Closed eyes can generate a question in which you observe, since eyes at that moment only indicate that that person is disconnected from the outside world, but what is going on in their head right now? This is where the observer connects with the observed in an attempt to interpret what is happening.

The way you look, use your hands and your expressions are fundamental factors for a photo to go beyond the ordinary and become an eye-catching photo. Do you want your portraits to be even more beautiful, interesting and perhaps intriguing? Why not pay attention to your facial expressions? Why not use your eyes to tell, convey or perhaps leave an air of mystery in whoever is watching you through photography? The photographer is important at this moment, but the person being photographed is even more important than the photographer who is just interpreting through the camera what he can observe about who you are.

Having emotions recorded is my focus as a photographer. I know there are other photographers who want to capture beauty and that is their focus. But I try, in my portraits, to show a little of who the people I photograph are and I really like the naturalness when I have the camera in my hands. For me, natural poses makes all the difference. A good conversation with your photographer before your photo shoot can help a lot in understanding what you expect from your photo shoot and helps the photographer to have a starting point and direction of what you want for your photo shoot . During your photo session, wear the clothes you like, let the photographer know if there is anything you would not like to be photographed, such as an angle, a side of your face, etc. that you don't like very much, so the photographer You can now avoid taking photos you don't want. If possible, save some references, this can be very useful during your photo shoot. And for me the main thing is to enjoy your photo session. Allow yourself, enjoy, relax and enjoy your experience. This is your moment to shine, the more comfortable you are, the more beautiful your photos will be.
