Megan – Orlando, Florida (After Sunset Cinematic)
Megan’s session in Orlando happened just after sunset, when the sky shifts into deep blues and city lights begin to take over. That in-between moment is one of my favorites to photograph because it naturally brings a cinematic mood to every frame.
We leaned into shadows, movement, and subtle expressions. The absence of strong daylight allowed artificial lights to sculpt Megan’s features, creating depth and emotion in each image. The result felt like scenes from a film rather than traditional portraits.
There was a quiet confidence in the way Megan moved through the night. The city became her backdrop, and every corner offered texture reflections on pavement, glowing storefronts, passing headlights.
As a Richmond, Virginia–based portrait and lifestyle photographer, I bring this cinematic approach into all my sessions. Whether in Florida or back home in Richmond, my goal is always to tell a story that feels natural yet visually striking.
