It's been 6 months since I arrived in Virginia, during this period that I've been here it has given me time to reflect on my work and I would like to share some of my reflections with you through this blog. I've been looking at my work and realized what I like and don't like doing. I really like making portraits, even though I have done many other things, I realized how much I like making portraits.
When I arrived here in Virginia, I started working with a friend who has a partnership with a clothing store, so it was here that something clicked in my mind. I had already talked to some people about working with companies, with brands, it was then that everything made sense to me and I started thinking about it and working with my friend Ash, I understood my path.
It's winter at the moment, I've been doing some work, but not as much as when I lived in Orlando, Florida. Here, in Richmond, because of the cold, I have been working less, but this gave me the opportunity to look at my work and that's how I saw that I have done a lot of work that includes Lifestyle and also has Branding, as some people are proud of their clothes and accessories that they wanted to wear during the photo shoot. Observing this within my work led me down the path of focusing my work on this.
Some people, I would say many people, like to take photos to feel good about themselves, for their self-esteem. But they also need photos for other reasons. These people dress up to feel beautiful for the photo shoot and at that moment I realized how important clothing brands are and I also realized that clothing brands also need to have photos to show their clothing collections.
I did work a few times for clothing companies. And I hadn't thought about it that this might be my path, working with companies that want to showcase their products, because the way people are interested in their products is to see their products, and this is where I come in, I can help your company showcase its products through my work with your company.
