Last Night in Soho
It's Halloween month, do you have your Halloween costume yet? Are you excited for Halloween? Since September, I've felt like we're in the Halloween season. The most interesting thing about this is that I rarely wear a costume, but I enjoy this time of year because I get to photograph people showing off their creativity.
I was invited by Lauren Ashley to do a photoshoot inspired by the film Last Night in Soho. I wasn't familiar with the film, so what did I do to better prepare for this photoshoot? I went to see the film and really enjoyed it. I liked the aesthetics and the cinematography. After watching the film, I started planning how I would do this photoshoot. The place where we decided to do this photo shoot was in downtown Orlando, a little different from what we had in the film, but in reality it's what makes things more interesting for me, because I like to have inspiration as an idea and not as a copy.
We decided to do the photoshoot at night; the streets were very busy that day. This created a challenge in eliminating distractions and also avoiding hindering people's movement without bumping into my lighting equipment. Speaking of lighting, I decided to keep the colors used in the film. And I have to admit, I really enjoy using these colors when I'm shooting at night.
