This winter photo session with Della was photographed in Richmond, Virginia, during one of the coldest days of the season. The quiet atmosphere, soft winter light, and muted tones created a calm and intimate setting for portraits that felt natural and understated.
Because of the low temperatures, we had to end the session earlier than planned. Even so, the limited time encouraged a more intentional approach, focusing on simple moments, genuine expressions, and efficient use of natural light.
This session became an important learning experience for me, as it was my first time photographing during winter in Virginia. Understanding how the cold affects both the pace of a session and the comfort of the client helped shape how I plan and prepare for future winter shoots.
