The band Magic!
The year was 2014, yes, time flies by, 11 years have passed. A song arrived in Brazil and became a huge hit; everywhere I went, that song was playing at least once. The song is "Rude" by Band Magic!
My son, who was just over a year old, heard this song playing, and it became a song that had to play almost all day long in my house. When the song ended, or if you changed it for another song, you gained a mortal enemy: my son. He wouldn't leave you alone until you played that song again.
I started following the band's other work, watching some of their performances on YouTube, until in February 2020, a little before the pandemic happened, the band performed in Orlando, Florida. What a coincidence, I was living near where they were going to perform. I went with my family to see their show, and that was also my first opportunity to photograph a band's concert. So I did, and the photos turned out incredible.
When the band's show ended, they came down from the stage and went to the front where the audience was. They were talking and taking pictures with the fans. I never liked asking celebrities to take pictures with me, but my son was there, and although he didn't remember how much he enjoyed listening to this band's music, I did, and that made me stay and ask to take some pictures of my son with the band members.
I took pictures of my son with the band members and also some pictures of myself with some of the band members. After the show, I sent some of the photos to the band and some of the members, and I was surprised by how the bassist, Ben Spivak, and the guitarist, Mark Pelli, reacted. I spoke with them a few times and cleared up some doubts I had about the band.
